WHY: The St. Tammany Crab festival was created in 2013 to promote awareness of the culinary value of Louisiana crabs and bring top-notch entertainment and other attractions to the Northshore. The event offers local businesses and nonprofit organizations opportunities to participate and market their products or services to a wide number of people, in addition to promoting St.Tammany Parish.

In the immortal words of Hank Williams, “Gonna have big fun on the bayou” when the St. Tammany Crab Festival returns to the scenic shore of Bayou Bonfouca in Slidell on September 20th, 21st and 22nd
In addition to headlining Louisiana’s succulent crabs and other aquatic delicacies reeled in from the bayous and the Gulf, this year’s Crab Fest will feature some of greatest entertainers In Southeast Louisiana. Friday September 20th will be hosted by Paul Crosby formerly of Saliva and will feature Green Gasoline (Winner of the Crab Fest Battle of The Bands 2018) Adam Pearce (Finalist on The Voice season 13) up and coming band from Houston, Texas Asleep In The Wake With platinum selling bands Drowning Pool & Lit.
On Saturday, September 21st, will feature, Fremaux Ave Band, Ronnie Bell & Sunshine Anderson. Followed by Hot Boy Ronald, DJ Mannie Fresh with Grammy award winning Juvenile Closing out the night.
Other first-rate performers on Sunday the 22nd will include. Witness, Box Office Giants, Partners-n-Crime, Sir Charles, Pokey Bear & platinum selling artist Jon B.
Located approximately 20 minutes from downtown New Orleans, the St. Tammany Crab Festival offers a wide variety of wholesome family fun and entertainment as the largest and most diverse family-oriented event on Louisiana’s Northshore. Vintage car enthusiasts will marvel over the many classic cars, trucks, rat rods, motorcycles and other unique vehicles in the 5th Annual Mr. Crab’s Car Show. This year’s festival includes, FREE entry to the Carnival rides and, for the 4th year in a row, “Captain Dave” of Cat’s Meow Fishing Charters, will take passengers aboard his boat for a scenic tour of Bayou Bonfouca.
